World of Warcraft Classic’s PvP Release
Like many WoW players, I was ready for a trip down memory lane when Blizzard announced that it would be releasing World of Warcraft Classic in its mostly original 2004 form. When the game was released just a few months ago, it was a breath of fresh air to the World of Warcraft community. In one of my past articles I talked about how much of the leveling and role playing experience in the classic version of the game is actually much better than what’s offered in the current retail version.
When Classic was announced, Blizzard produced with it a content release plan, consisting of phases that would bring about Classic World of Warcraft content in five chunks. Although not even one month into the games release, Blizzard had already made changes to their plan by releasing the Dire Maul dungeon set early. This for the most part was a welcome addition, but some private server players expressed how this would ultimately speed up the content cycle, which would as a result make it harder for more casual players to progress at a normal pace.
